What is at the other end
The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift that raises canal barges thirty-five metres between two waterways — the only one of its kind. The Kelpies, ten minutes away, are two thirty-metre horse heads in stainless steel standing beside the canal.
Who travels this route
Families, and travellers with a few hours between flights.
What to know before you book
Both sites are free to walk around; only the boat lift ride is ticketed, and it books out in school holidays.
