①火車——King's Cross嘅LNER要4小時20分至5小時、£30-150（提前訂平飛）、市中心到市中心、舒適、沿東北海岸有風景（Durham、北方天使、諾森伯蘭海岸線）。淨係想到達嘅高效之選。②飛機——由倫敦機場飛1小時20分，但加埋機場接送、安檢同等候，門到門通常唔快過火車；只有最平飛先值。③沿途觀光——直接揸7-8小時，但冇人應該直接揸：重點就係停。經湖區、哈德良長城、同蘇格蘭邊境，旅程變成多日體驗、唔係接送——正正係環島遊處理佢嘅方法。
