The Great Castles

The essential castles: Windsor (the oldest occupied castle in the world, royal residence, St George Chapel), Edinburgh Castle (the rock fortress dominating the city, Crown Jewels, One OClock Gun), Stirling Castle (Scotland历史 crossroads — better preserved interiors than Edinburgh), Eilean Donan (the most photographed castle in Scotland — the island icon at three lochs meeting), Alnwick (Northumberland — Hogwarts flying lessons, still lived-in), Warwick (medieval England experience), Caernarfon and Conwy (Wales — Edward I ring of iron), and romantic ruins (Urquhart on Loch Ness, Dunnottar clifftop, Kilchurn). Each tells a different story — royal power, border war, clan feud, romantic decay.

The Castle Journey Design

Formats: the royal day from London (Windsor + Hampton Court), the Scottish castle circuit (Edinburgh + Stirling + Eilean Donan over 2-3 days — combines perfectly with our Highland tours), the Northumberland day (Alnwick + Bamburgh coast), or a castle-themed Grand Tour (a different castle era each day across 10 days). Practical: we book timed tickets (Windsor and Edinburgh need them in season), plan routes so castles come at good light for photos, and pace for your group (castles involve stairs — we advise which suit elders). History explained in Mandarin/Cantonese as you go. Family arrangements, Alipay/WeChat Pay, WeChat/WhatsApp booking.
