This works when you have three or four hours: a late disembarkation, an early all aboard, heavy rain, or a group that does not want another motorway. Start at the SeaCity Museum, which tells the Titanic story from the crew side rather than the first class side, using the streets and families the crew came from. Then the medieval town walls, among the most complete in England, and the Tudor House and Garden. Holyrood Church was bombed in 1940 and left as a ruin, and it holds the memorial to the ship engineers who stayed below to keep the lights on. Finish at Westquay for shopping or a Bargate area lunch. Everything is within a small radius.
