Vehicle numbers

Four with luggage per vehicle. Six or eight friends means two cars travelling together, which works better than it sounds.

Splitting up

Two vehicles means half the group can go to a distillery while the others walk. We coordinate and regroup rather than forcing one itinerary.

Trips for Groups of Friends

Cost per person

At eight people across two vehicles, a ten-day loop works out around £1,600 each for transport. That is often cheaper than trains plus taxis.

The rhythm of stops

We stop roughly every ninety minutes. Some are viewpoints, some are simply because someone wants a coffee or a toilet. On some Highland stretches there is nothing for forty miles, so these stops are planned rather than improvised.

What we will not do

We do not push you into shops or restaurants that pay commission — we take none. We do not add unrequested items and charge for them, or recommend hotels we have not used. If your plan does not fit the days, or self-drive suits you better, we say so even when it costs us the booking.

Booking and changes

A £180 deposit secures the dates and the balance is settled before departure. Changes more than 30 days out are usually free; inside 30 days it depends on whether we can refill the slot. The deposit is non-refundable, stated before you pay. If we are the ones who cannot deliver, we refund in full including the deposit.
