The Format

Structural differences from a normal tour: the day starts pre-dawn and pauses through the harsh midday hours (which become driving, eating and battery-charging time), then resumes for golden hour and runs through blue hour; the itinerary lists light windows and sun azimuths, not opening times; locations sequence by aspect — the Storr faces sunrise, Neist Point sunset, Eilean Donan's reflection needs dusk calm; and the vehicle waits, heated, however long the cloud takes. Gear logistics solved: tripods and filter cases ride flat in the Alphard, drone rules briefed per site (NATS zones, estate permissions), batteries charge between stops, and your driver holds the flask while you hold the shutter. Group cap: 4 photographers, so every window is a shooting position and nobody's tripod fights for the ledge.

① The Skye Intensive (3 days, two Portree nights): two dawn chances at the Storr, the Quiraing at golden hour, Neist Point sunset, Elgol's across-the-water Cuillin panorama and the Fairy Glen — the deepest portfolio builder in Britain; ② the Glencoe Light-Chase (one long day): Rannoch Moor at dawn, the Three Sisters through moving weather, Glen Etive's river bends, Glenfinnan timed to the steam plume; ③ Seasonal specials: October gold in Perthshire's Big Tree Country, the winter aurora standby (routes flex nightly to the Kp index and cloud maps), May bluebells at Kinclaven.
