Group cost: for four to six people the per person price is usually comparable or lower. Dietary needs, elderly members, prams and photography stops are all easier.
Which One Should You Book
Book the ship excursion if you are travelling alone or as a couple on a very short call, if the port requires a long transfer you do not want to manage, or if peace of mind outweighs everything. Book a private car if you are a family or group of four or more, if anyone in the party has mobility or dietary needs, if you have been to the port before and want something different, or if language is a barrier.
