The Highlands
Glencoe's Three Sisters in morning light — busy after ten. The Glenfinnan Viaduct timed to the steam train, roughly 10:45 and 15:00 in season, though times shift each year. Eilean Donan Castle at dusk. All three are roadside or a short walk.
Skye
Quiraing at sunrise and the Old Man of Storr an hour later, both facing east; Neist Point at sunset, facing west. Skye rewards early starts more than anywhere else in Scotland: the same spot at dawn and at noon gives two entirely different photographs.
Edinburgh
Calton Hill before eight when it is empty, Victoria Street in soft light, and the castle from the Grassmarket at blue hour — thirty minutes after sunset when the streetlights are on and the sky still holds colour. All within twenty minutes of each other.
Planning around light
In June the golden hour stretches over an hour at each end and you can shoot two locations in one evening. In December the light is low all day — flattering, but you have six usable hours. We plan routes around light rather than mileage.
Grey days
Not wasted days. Mist on the Storr, rain on the Cuillin, cloud pouring into Glencoe — these produce better images than flat blue sky. We do not change the plan for grey weather; we wait.
每日实际车程有几长
多数路段实际车程两至三个钟，中间有停留。十日环岛最长那日大约四个钟，我们会用一顿正经午餐分隔开，而不是高速公路服务区。大约每九十分钟停一次——有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡。高地公路要特别留意：地图估两个钟，实际接近三个钟。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
实际车程要几耐
地图估的时间在高地通常乐观三成。单线道要不停靠哪会车，夏天再加露营车，两个钟的路段实际接近三个钟。我们排行程用真实时间，所以我们的日程纸面上看起来短些——但不会做不完。
停留节奏
我们大约每九十分钟停一次。有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡或者去洗手间。高地部分路段四十英里没有任何设施，所以这些停留点是预先规划的，不是即兴。
语言支援实际是怎么
我们司机导游会说普通话、广东话和英文。由第一次查询到最后一程送机都是同一种语言。在爱丁堡你用英文大致应付到;但在高地单线道遇上天气突变，有人可以用你的语言解释情况，是另一种安心。
应该带什么
有帽的防水外套胜过雨伞(风会吹烂把遮)、分层衣物胜过一件厚褛、有抓地力的步行鞋。夏天最高十七至二十度、晚上跌到十度、高地更冻。这些不是客套提醒，是每个月都有客人低估的嘢。
