Getting there
About five hours from Edinburgh, two and a half from Inverness. The Skye Bridge is free and open year round. The Mallaig ferry is scenic but slower and needs booking — we usually suggest the bridge outbound and the ferry back only if time allows.
The main sights
Quiraing, the Old Man of Storr, the Fairy Pools, Neist Point, Kilt Rock with Mealt Falls, and Dunvegan Castle. Two full days covers them without rushing.
When to go
May and September for light, fewer midges and moderate crowds. June and July have the longest days — close to seventeen hours — but are peak season with midges in the west. Winter is the most dramatic but gives only six or seven hours of light and some roads may close.
The roads
Most of the island is single track with passing places. Not difficult but constant work, and the scenery is beside the road rather than ahead of it — whoever drives sees least. That is why Skye is where most guests choose a chauffeur.

Skye two-day and Skye with the Highlands three-day, both £640 a day from Edinburgh. The three-day version goes up via Glencoe and returns via Loch Ness, so you see the best of the west Highlands in one trip.
每日实际车程有几长
多数路段实际车程两至三个钟，中间有停留。十日环岛最长那日大约四个钟，我们会用一顿正经午餐分隔开，而不是高速公路服务区。大约每九十分钟停一次——有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡。高地公路要特别留意：地图估两个钟，实际接近三个钟。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
停留节奏
我们大约每九十分钟停一次。有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡或者去洗手间。高地部分路段四十英里没有任何设施，所以这些停留点是预先规划的，不是即兴。
语言支援实际是怎么
我们司机导游会说普通话、广东话和英文。由第一次查询到最后一程送机都是同一种语言。在爱丁堡你用英文大致应付到;但在高地单线道遇上天气突变，有人可以用你的语言解释情况，是另一种安心。
