The distance
London to Edinburgh is seven to eight hours by road — not a day trip. The practical answer is to fly one leg and use the car for the rest: fly London to Edinburgh, then use the vehicle for several days in Scotland, or the reverse.
Which city first
If you arrive internationally via Heathrow, London first makes sense. If you can fly direct to Edinburgh, starting north avoids London traffic at the front of the trip. It depends on your flights, not on itinerary theory.
Connecting the two
We can drop you at the London airport and collect you in Scotland, with one arrangement and one invoice covering both. If you have items you would rather not fly with, we can carry them north — but arrange it in advance.
London specifics
The congestion charge, ULEZ, and central parking. We build these into the quote rather than adding them afterwards. In central London we drop and collect at each location rather than parking once — faster than it sounds.
Allowing time
A short central London hop can take an hour in traffic, and Heathrow to the centre ninety minutes at peak. We plan on real times — better that you arrive early with time for a coffee.

为什么路线这么排
地理决定次序，和他对著干只会浪费日数。由爱丁堡出发，合理动线是南下经约克、曼彻斯特，到达剑桥和伦敦，再经湖区北返。全程不走回头路，每日车程控制在四个钟内，而且最后返到爱丁堡——同一个机场离境，不用买单程机票返伦敦。
