Morning
Quiraing at sunrise, Old Man of Storr an hour after. Both face east and both are transformed by early light. Neither works well after eleven.
Afternoon
Neist Point faces west and holds until sunset. Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls work at most hours because the interest is the cliff structure rather than the light.
Weather as subject
Grey days are not wasted days on Skye. Low cloud on the Storr and rain on the Cuillin ridge produce better photographs than flat sunshine.
The rhythm of stops
We stop roughly every ninety minutes. Some are viewpoints, some are simply because someone wants a coffee or a toilet. On some Highland stretches there is nothing for forty miles, so these stops are planned rather than improvised.
What we will not do
We do not push you into shops or restaurants that pay commission — we take none. We do not add unrequested items and charge for them, or recommend hotels we have not used. If your plan does not fit the days, or self-drive suits you better, we say so even when it costs us the booking.
Booking and changes
A £180 deposit secures the dates and the balance is settled before departure. Changes more than 30 days out are usually free; inside 30 days it depends on whether we can refill the slot. The deposit is non-refundable, stated before you pay. If we are the ones who cannot deliver, we refund in full including the deposit.
