How to Book Official Tickets
Always book through the official Historic Environment Scotland website (edinburghcastle.scot) — third-party resellers charge more. Adult tickets are around £20-22, with timed entry slots; summer weekends and August festival dates sell out days ahead, so book at least 1-2 weeks early. Choose a morning slot (9:30-11:00) for the smallest crowds. Your ticket includes the Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny, the Great Hall and the National War Museum.

Don't miss: the Honours of Scotland (the oldest crown jewels in Britain), the Stone of Destiny, St Margaret's Chapel (Edinburgh's oldest building, c.1130), Mons Meg cannon, and the panoramic views over the city from the Argyle Battery.
