The two best months
May and September. Fourteen to fifteen hours of daylight, weather much like summer, accommodation about 30% below July, far quieter Highland roads, and midges not yet at their worst. These are the months locals choose for their own trips.
June to August
June has the longest days, close to seventeen hours — you can properly shoot two locations in one evening. July and August are warmest but busiest: expensive rooms, crowded viewpoints at midday, and peak midges in the west. August brings the Edinburgh festivals: extraordinary city, triple prices.
Autumn
October is underrated. Birch and larch turn gold, and the contrast against dark pine and wet rock is the best of the year. No midges, no coaches, low prices. The trade-off is about ten hours of daylight and unsettled weather.
Winter
November to March: lowest rates, quietest sights, snow on the Cairngorms. But in December Edinburgh sees sunrise at 8:45 and sunset at 3:30 — about six hours of usable light, so itineraries must be shorter and more concentrated. Highland passes close in snow.
The hardest dates
Hogmanay, the August festivals and Easter. Hotels peak and sell out months ahead. For these dates, plan a year in advance.
每日实际车程有几长
多数路段实际车程两至三个钟，中间有停留。十日环岛最长那日大约四个钟，我们会用一顿正经午餐分隔开，而不是高速公路服务区。大约每九十分钟停一次——有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡。高地公路要特别留意：地图估两个钟，实际接近三个钟。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
停留节奏
我们大约每九十分钟停一次。有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡或者去洗手间。高地部分路段四十英里没有任何设施，所以这些停留点是预先规划的，不是即兴。
实际车程要几耐
地图估的时间在高地通常乐观三成。单线道要不停靠哪会车，夏天再加露营车，两个钟的路段实际接近三个钟。我们排行程用真实时间，所以我们的日程纸面上看起来短些——但不会做不完。
语言支援实际是怎么
我们司机导游会说普通话、广东话和英文。由第一次查询到最后一程送机都是同一种语言。在爱丁堡你用英文大致应付到;但在高地单线道遇上天气突变，有人可以用你的语言解释情况，是另一种安心。
