The flight
Singapore to London is about thirteen hours direct with Singapore Airlines and BA. Most flights land in the morning, so you arrive with a full day ahead and a body that thinks it is afternoon. The time difference is seven hours in summer, eight in winter.
Flying to Edinburgh instead
There is no direct flight from Singapore to Edinburgh, but you can connect via London or Amsterdam. If your trip is Scotland-focused, connecting saves a four-hour drive north — worth comparing total cost and total time before booking.
Entry
Singapore passport holders do not need a UK visa for tourism, but an Electronic Travel Authorisation is now required. Apply online well before departure — rules change, so check the UK government website rather than relying on any travel article.
When to go
May to September has the longest days and best weather. But Singapore school holidays in June and November–December overlap with UK peak pricing. If your dates are flexible, late May or September is the value window: accommodation is 30% below July and you still get fourteen hours of daylight.
The temperature shock
Singapore is thirty degrees year round; Scottish summer highs are 17–20°C and evenings drop to 10. The Highlands are colder. Bring layers and a waterproof jacket rather than one thick coat.
每日实际车程有几长
多数路段实际车程两至三个钟，中间有停留。十日环岛最长那日大约四个钟，我们会用一顿正经午餐分隔开，而不是高速公路服务区。大约每九十分钟停一次——有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡。高地公路要特别留意：地图估两个钟，实际接近三个钟。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
