We quote in pounds
All pricing is in pounds sterling. We do not quote in your local currency with a locked rate, because that usually works against the customer. Paying by card, you get your issuer's rate on the day.
Foreign transaction fees
If your card charges a foreign transaction fee (typically 1–3%), that is between you and your bank; we add nothing. Some cards waive it, and on a large payment it is worth checking — 3% of £6,400 is nearly £200.
Deposit and balance
A £180 deposit by card through Stripe with an immediate receipt. The balance is settled before departure by transfer or card. International transfers may incur wire and intermediary bank fees — on larger amounts a transfer is usually still cheaper than card.
Spending during the trip
Contactless works everywhere in Britain including buses and small shops. But some Highland pubs, car parks and small attractions are cash only; £50 in notes covers it. Scottish banks issue their own notes — valid UK-wide, but simpler to spend before you leave Scotland.
VAT refunds
The UK removed tax-free shopping for overseas visitors in 2021. Do not plan a shopping budget around a refund that no longer exists — this is something many travel articles still have wrong.
每日实际车程有几长
多数路段实际车程两至三个钟，中间有停留。十日环岛最长那日大约四个钟，我们会用一顿正经午餐分隔开，而不是高速公路服务区。大约每九十分钟停一次——有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡。高地公路要特别留意：地图估两个钟，实际接近三个钟。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
