What group tours cost
A sixteen-seat minibus day tour from Edinburgh runs about £60–90 per person per day: fixed route, fixed times, one guide for the whole vehicle. That is genuinely good value and we will not pretend otherwise.
What private costs
A private day tour is £580–640 for the vehicle regardless of how many are in it. Split four ways that is £145–160 each; split two ways, £290.
Where the lines cross
At four travellers the gap narrows considerably, and what you get for it is your own schedule, stops when you want them, and a guide who answers your questions rather than a microphone. Below three people a group tour is usually better value, and we will say so.
The hidden costs of group tours
Day tours often include shopping stops — cashmere, whisky. Those shops pay the operator a commission, which is reflected in the prices. On time: forty people boarding, waiting and queueing for toilets means less actual sightseeing than the itinerary suggests.
Who suits which
Solo or a couple on a budget with a flexible schedule — a group tour is genuinely fine, take it. Four or more, travelling with elderly parents or children, waiting for the light for photographs, or working around meeting times — only a private vehicle does that.
实际价钱怎么计
我们按日计价，不按英里。日团商务七座 £580 至 £640，视乎路线；十日环岛 £6,400 全程；六日环岛 £3,840。价钱已包燃油、停车、过路费和司机导游，行程完结不会再有燃油附加费或者「超时费」。住宿如果由我们代订，大约每间房每晚 £200，酒店确认后先另行收费。
人数怎么影响人均成本
车价固定，所以人数愈多人均愈便宜。十日环岛 £6,400：两个人分即是每人 £3,200，四个人分即是 £1,600。但住宿相反——两位客人一间房，四位要两间。埋单计，四人团的人均总成本通常比两人团便宜两至三成。
车辆实际载得多少
Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
