Where trains win
Between cities: London to Edinburgh four and a half hours, Edinburgh to Glasgow fifty minutes, Edinburgh to Inverness three and a half. Centre to centre, no parking, and you can work. Booking ahead is much cheaper.
Where trains fail
The Highlands. There is no train to Skye, none to Glencoe, and Loch Ness needs a bus from Inverness. Between Cotswold villages public transport is close to non-existent. It is not that trains cannot get near; it is that near is not enough.
The West Highland Line
Glasgow to Mallaig via Rannoch Moor and the Glenfinnan Viaduct, regularly named Britain's most scenic railway. This one is the exception and worth riding a leg of. We can drop you at the station and meet you at the other end with your luggage.
Combining both
Many guests do this: train for the long city legs such as London to Edinburgh, then a car within Scotland. It costs less than chauffeuring throughout, and the Highlands are where a car actually earns its keep.
Luggage
UK train luggage racks are limited and can be full in peak season, and you carry your own bags across platforms and footbridges. For a family with three or four large cases this is a practical constraint rather than a preference.

Toyota Alphard 和 Vellfire 是七座，但七个座位和七件行李是两回事。第三排立起那阵，尾箱大约放到四件 26 吋行李箱。所以我们说「最多四位客人连全套行李」——五位或以上有托运行李，我们会安排第二架车，不会勉强塞。
为什么选 MPV 不选房车
Alphard 的后座脚位比多数行政房车更阔，而且底盘便宜，你是「行入去」而不是「坐落去」。对六十岁以上、著正装、或者带住小朋友的客人，这个差别好实在。他不是 Mercedes S-Class，我们不会扮是——如果你需要车头个标志做门面，我们不是适合的供应商。
我们不会做的嘢
我们不会迫你入有佣金的商店或者餐厅。不会在你未问之前加项目再收钱。不会话一间我们没有住过的酒店好。如果你的计划日数不够、或者自驾对你来说其实更抵、又或者小团游更适合你，我们会直接说——就算这样会少做一单。
停留节奏
我们大约每九十分钟停一次。有些是观景点，有些纯粹因为有人想饮杯咖啡或者去洗手间。高地部分路段四十英里没有任何设施，所以这些停留点是预先规划的，不是即兴。
语言支援实际是怎么
我们司机导游会说普通话、广东话和英文。由第一次查询到最后一程送机都是同一种语言。在爱丁堡你用英文大致应付到;但在高地单线道遇上天气突变，有人可以用你的语言解释情况，是另一种安心。
