Airline crew transfers: Edinburgh and Glasgow

MegaSpace provides crew ground transport for airlines, ground handlers and crew schedulers in central Scotland: positioning crews between Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, airport–hotel runs and disruption recovery. Each Toyota Alphard carries up to five crew with small cabin-size cases (non-crew passengers with large suitcases: up to four); EDI–GLA is £130 per vehicle. Account billing with monthly invoicing is available on request. Cross-border crew positioning to England runs from £400 (Newcastle) to £700 (London) per vehicle.

What crew movements do we cover?

• Cross-border positioning to England — crew up to five per vehicle with cabin bags, whole vehicle one way from Edinburgh or Glasgow: Newcastle from £400, Manchester from £500, Birmingham from £600, London Heathrow/Gatwick from £700.
• Positioning between airports — Edinburgh ↔ Glasgow (£130 per vehicle), and to Prestwick, Aberdeen and other airports on fixed quote.
• Airport ↔ crew hotel — after a diversion, cancellation or crew going out of hours; Edinburgh or Glasgow city centre from £75.
• Disruption recovery — getting a fresh crew to an aircraft stranded at another airport, or returning a crew to base.
• Engineers and station staff travelling to an AOG aircraft.

Night movements (23:00–06:00) carry a £15 supplement per vehicle.

How many crew per vehicle?

Our vehicles are Toyota Alphards that seat up to five crew per vehicle, because crew travel with small cabin-size cases. Non-crew passengers with large suitcases remain up to four per vehicle. For a full flight-deck and cabin crew, we dispatch multiple vehicles subject to availability — tell us the headcount when you request so we can confirm how many cars we can supply.

How does short-notice booking work?

• Crew names or headcount, and number of bags
• Pickup point (terminal, crew room, hotel) and destination
• Required on-blocks / report time at the destination
• Flight number for tracking, and an ops contact number
• PO or reference number if you need it on the invoice

We take late-night and short-notice requests whenever a driver is available. We do not offer guaranteed 24/7 cover, so please contact us first; we confirm or decline within minutes so your schedulers can move on to a backup quickly.

Pickup, ID and punctuality

Drivers arrive early and confirm by message once at the pickup point. We can meet crew at an agreed terminal door, crew car park or hotel lobby, and can show a name board with the airline or crew reference. If your station requires drivers to show identification or follow airside-edge procedures, tell us in advance. We keep ops informed of departure and estimated arrival.

Billing and invoicing

For one-off movements we invoice after the job with date, route, vehicle count and your reference. For regular users we can set up account billing with a monthly invoice on request. Chinese-language communication is available for Asian airlines' crews and coordinators — Sheldon speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
